The Queenstown Planning Commission met Feb. 7, 2018, welcomed new members Loretta Hohmann and Perry Stutman, and distributed the Commission bylaws. Tom Davis of DMS Associates presented a final site plan for 306 Del Rhodes Avenue and requested relief from the 10-foot setback; the Town Planner indicated the applicant must supply the information required by Subsection H of Section 42 and a public notice of the variance must be posted on the property two weeks prior to approval (Amy Moore will post the notice). Commissioners elected officers for 2018: Phil Snyder as Chair, Matt Reno as Vice Chair, and Loretta Hohmann as Secretary. The Town update noted the Town decided not to purchase the Wooters property, letters were issued for parking and trash violations with cleanup deadlines or fines, the Sheriff's Department increased patrols on Rt. 18 and Del Rhodes Avenue, and the Town Manager is exploring costs for electronic speed indicators. Discussion of current sign regulations was deferred until the Town Planner can advise; members were asked to review the ordinance and bring suggestions to the March meeting. Minutes for Nov. 1, 2017 and Jan. 3, 2018 were approved and the meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
