Planning Commission — 2016-03-02

These are the minutes of the Queenstown Planning Commission meeting held March 2, 2016. A neighboring property owner, Pat Sorraco, complained that the new wastewater treatment plant fence abutting his property looks like a “prison” fence and may devalue his property; Town Commissioners said demolition of the old plant is in process and the new plant is up and being monitored. The Commission voted unanimously to recommend that Linda T. Vasbinder’s application (Stillwater Bed and Breakfast) be forwarded to the Board of Zoning Appeals for approval. The 500 Del Rhodes Avenue item (Majid Hussain, dba Sahi Petroleum Marketing) was tabled and the applicant was asked to provide a site plan, signage and parking plans and a clearer outline of uses. The Commission approved a revised Resolution 16-001 to forward to the Town Commissioners, planned a workshop to review the updated Community Plan with a draft to be circulated by the Town Planner, and directed the Town Planner to prepare the Annual Report due July 1, 2016; the Feb. 3 minutes were approved and the Feb. 16 workshop minutes were tabled.
