Planning Commission — 2016-02-03

The Planning Commission met Feb. 3, 2016; Chairman Hogie Schuster opened a public hearing on proposed zoning ordinance amendments but received no public comments. The Commission scheduled a special workshop for Feb. 16 at 4:00 p.m. to review the Wheatlands concept plan (Waterman Family Limited Partnership) and 2010 Community Plan updates, and directed the secretary to post notice. The Commission gave final approval to the Cohee Subdivision plat for 7001 Main Street subject to two specific note revisions and authorized the chairman to sign after those conditions are met. The Commission voted unanimously to submit the December 11, 2015 draft Zoning Ordinance amendments to the Town Commissioners for approval; it also moved to provide Resolution PC 16-001 to county and state agencies for the required 60-day review and to notice a public hearing on April 25, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The Commission adopted Resolution PC 16-002 recommending that the Town Commissioners designate Wheatland Farm and Queenstown Harbor Resort as Priority Funding Areas. Members noted that grant applications for the Town Park at the WWTP have been denied to date, approved minutes from Jan. 6 and Jan. 28, and adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
