QUEENSTOWN COMMTSSTONERS
March 27,2019 PRESENT: President Thomas B. Willis, Jr., Commissioner Al Hardee, Commissioner Holger Schuster, Town Attorney Brynja Booth and Lyndsey Ryao, and Amy Moore, Town Manager/Clerk.
REGULAR MEETING CALLED To ORDER AT 7:00 p.M.
GUESTS: None scheduled PUBLIC WORIG - Amy Moore o Al Miller, Tidewater, advised that he will rotate operators every 4 months instead of every 3.
o VFD is on order and will install when it comes in.
o Drum screen has been repaired o Chris Ritch has been cleaning out ditches to increase water flow o Lane Cole will help identifu areas needing work (streets, ditches, etc.) and obtain prices for budget purposes.
Meeting scheduled for April 3'd with DNR regarding dredging of boat slips and adjacent areas.
Town was approved for a $50,000 grant for the work.
Mosquito control - need to apply by April 30th. Same price as prior yeffi - $2,325 PLAI\IYNG - Philip Snyder r Thought the Town community meeting was a great success.
r PC is working on the county trail syst€rn to incorporate up to Queenstown. Would like to ask the commissioners for support for master tuails for town. They would solicit public padicipation and it would take about a year to develop. They would then ask ihe town to adopt the plan to use when negotiating with dwelopers and possibiy assist with funding of certain projects.

o ESAM dinner/meeting is scheduled for 4/30/19 in Denton. Deadline to rcgister is 4/22119.

OLD BUSINESS -

NEW BUSINESS -
o Commissioner Hardee advised he used the town dump truck and noticed the body appeared to be in poor condition. Lane Cole advised that John English quoted approximately $8,500 for new dump body. The motor and transmission me in good condition with low miles.
r Commissioner Hardee stated there was some interest in a summer concert series, and if we are to proceed, we need electricity at the park. Need to get a price frorn R & D Electric.
ATTORNEY UPDATES - BrYnja Booth o went to court for property maintenance violations. Property owner was fined $4-10 and was given until 4/8/19 to ibate the violations. Ifit isn't done by then, the Town can file to have an order allowing the town to abate.
r Today is her last meeting. She has been our attomey for 9 years, and is going to miss us. The Commissioners thankecl her for her services and wished her all the best. President Willis motioned to appoint Lyndsey Ryan" attomey, and the firm Booth, Cropper and Marriner as the Town Attomey. Motion seconded by Commissiono Hardee' Vote: 3-aye, 0-nay
PI]BLIC COMMENT -
r - Paul Cain - Steamboat Ave o Asked how the property maintenance violation fine gets paid. He was informed it gets paid to the Town.
o Suggests putting in the Town newsletter about taking properties to court that don't comply with ordinances. It would show that we are serious.
r Di Quynn-Reno - 6740 Main St. - o Thinks it a great idea for electric at the parlg but should plan for future needs of the park before installing it. Ms. Booth advised that Trappe received a grant for gazebo, fountain, and landscaping. Something the Town may want to consider.
