Shaum, Jeannie Fitzgerald, John Fitzgerald and Hogie Schuster. Commissioner George L.
Plumbo, Jr. arrived after the meeting was over.
REGULAR MEETING:
President Thomas B. Willis, Jr. motioned to open the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Commissioner
Bowell seconded. Vote: Aye-2 Nay-0.
OPEN DISCUSSION:

PUBLIC WORKS:
Lane talked to Bob Rauch regarding Melvin Avenue for the budget. The podium is working.
Need to look into a new tape recorder and microphones.
The Assistant Town Clerk, Shosh Callahan, informed complaints received about “No Trucks” sign
on Del Rhodes between Dudley Avenue and Royal Farms interferes with seeing traffic when
coming out of Dudley Avenue which caused an accident there the other day. Lane had been
contacted by Town Citizens and has taken the sign down.
PLANNING:
Hogie Schuster informed they had approved the variance to the Cohee’s Charity Lane duplex for
the steps facing Main Street.

Introduction of Proposed Ordinance #16-02 – AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF
QUEENSTOWN ADOPTING A GENERAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1,2016
AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2017, AND ESTABLISHING A TAX RATE OF .181 PER $100 OF ASSESSED
REAL PROPERTY VALUE AND A TAX RATE OF .46 PER $100 ON ALL COMMERCIAL OR BUSINESS
PERSONAL PROPERTY AND PUBLIC UTILITIES; AND ALSO ADOPTING AN ENTERPRISE BUDGET
FOR THE TOWN’S WATER AND SEWER OPERATIONS. President Willis read and introduced
Proposed Ordinance #16-02. President Willis motioned to hold a Public Hearing on June 15,
2016. Commissioner Bowell seconded. Vote: Aye-2 Nay-0.
Bills to be paid as approved.
There being no further business, President Willis motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m.
Commissioner Bowell seconded. Vote: Aye-2 Nay-0. Commissioner Plumbo arrived at the
meeting.
