Dredging of the channel
Contacted Isiac Wilding with DNR regarding channel depth and narrowing. State is aware of current issues.
Channel last dredged in 1985. State conducted survey of channel in 2017 showing issues. Suggested going to
USACE first to see if they have any plans for dredging. If not, may be possible to get State funding for dredging
led by Town. USACE also aware of issues but no funding/plans to dredge channel due to low usage however they
can do new survey to determine current status of channel. Ms. Moore will contact USACE to do survey, can use
new survey data to seek possible State funding.
