ORDINANCE

23-02 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF QUEENSTOWN TO AMEND

ARTICLE IV, PART III OF THE QUEENSTOWN ZONING ORDINANCE TITLED, "CRITICAL

AREA OVERLAY DISTRICT" TO COMPLY WITH AMENDMENTS TO THE NATURAL

RESOURCES ARTICLE.

o Quotes for proposed speed bumps received from 3 companies. Discussion tabled until Pres.

Hardee returns to participate at next meeting.

' Borrowed bucket truck from County to put up flags and trim tree limbs hanging over streets.

Comm. Willis discussed possibility of Town buying a bucket truck and or excavator for own use.

After discussion decided Town in need of own bucket truck but not an excav ator atthis time. Will begin researching costs of used bucket trucks.

SAFETY & SPEEDING TASK FORCE

o Waiting on Pres. Hardee's return to review recommended speed bumps on town roads.

' Waiting on response from SHA regarding improvements on State roads in town.

FINAI\CB COMMITTEE

o Draft budget ready for review- worksession scheduled for May 30 at 5:30pm.

o Finance Chair Pat Bowell discussed allowable uses of Highway User Funds.

o Met with company rep regarding potential consultant services for Breezeline/Comcast agreement negotiations. Proposal ready for Commissioners review. May be able to do in-house vs. using consultants- Ms. Moore and Ms. Ryan will research.

TOWI\ MANAGER UPDATES

o Sheriff overtime coverage started 5120 7 -llam. 2 radar assignments while here- no violations. At Mair/Old Wharf no speeds above 27mph. At Main/Comegys no speeds above 28mph.

Assignments on 5122 as well- waiting for details on those.

o Tree at 1 19 Olde Point dead/dying in Town ROW. Resident would like removed. Dead tree also present nearby in rear open space area. Will have trees removed/stumps ground by Lee's Tree Service at cost of $1,500.

Contacted vendor regarding porta potty at park. Cleaning is to be weekly- vendor can't access area after heavy rains due to ground being too soft. Will discuss possible solutions including moving unit to more accessible area.

. Beer bottles/cases being found at park by Public Works staff. Will have Sheriff check out park area randomly during evening hours.

o Mike Rade - Mr. Rada discussed the New Water Tower/Infrastructure Project as it may affect his property. Inforrred water tower not going on property as originally planned. Now will be just well location. Has questions regarding water force main shown on plans sent to him from MDE regarding project as adjoining landowner. Ms. Moore will follow up with Rauch regarding information shown on plans and inform Mr. Rada.
