o Effluent sampler went up. Will try to rent one from lab and send ours out to see if repairable. New one costs around $1 1,000.

Hydrant flushing scheduled for May 27- rain date of May 22.

o Waiting on drawings from Rauch for stormwater work planned. Should use selected contractor to clean Dudley field ditch as well? Commissioners agree yes.

PLANNING COMMISSION

.

Recommending Commissioners rezone the properties from the retained County SR and CS classifications to the Town's R1 residential district as the base zoning district. Change should be made with intent and understanding that future development will occur under the PN planned neighborhood floating zone overlay. Any portions within Critical Area RCA would continue to be governed by stricter CA standards. Rezoning must comply with CA amendment procedures.

FINANCE COMMITTEE (no updates)

CODB ENFORCEMENT/HARBORMASTER

o CE Officer Harold Veasel suggested Commissioners give him Zoning Administrator authority/title in addition to current duties as would give him more ability to deal with various violations noticed throughout town- can also help veriff building/zoning permit projects are following standards in addition to role MDIA has in process. Ms. Dindinger infonned she would look into what authorities Mr. Veasel could be given and reporl back.

TOWN MANAGER UPDATES

o Draft PWA from RAH available for Commissioners review.

o Drafting permit application for electrical/plurnbing/mechanical work. Curently only required to pull inspection requests with MDIA. Currently don't know work being done until it's completed with current process. Charge/determine fee? Commissioners agree good idea- have Ms. Dindinger look into what is needed to put into place.

o Looking to determine EDU's for new fire station- currently have one for existing station. New station would have room to rent for events, etc. Similar stations at Kent Island and Church Hill only have one EDU charged. Centreville station isn't charged any EDU's. Rauch believes around 6-8 needed. Ms. Dindinger will research standards for EDU allocation calculations.

INFRASTRUCTURE

1 I&lProject o Sewer work/restoration is complete. Paving from Maryland Ave towards the water will be repair only with water main in this area to be replaced. East from Maryland Ave to Main St will be milling and full overlay.

Water/Sewer Rate Study Can work up budget using a few different percentages for rate increases- Commissioners agree to go with 32o/o increase with debt service increase deferred for purposes of budgeting for now.

Long Term Rentals - Possible Legislation .

Will look into what possible inspections would entail before making any decisions.
