The Queenstown Commissioners met March 11, 2026 with President Al Hardee and Commissioners Bryon Callahan and Jim Watzin present. Public Works reported the plant is running well, permeability is up to 11–12, the operator will run the belt press when possible, and PW Foreman Bryan Miller will prioritize needed equipment with tractor replacement noted as most important. The Events Committee scheduled an Easter Egg Hunt for March 28 and outlined 250th celebration plans including a July 8 reading of the Declaration of Independence, a May 9 ticketed garden party at Bowlingly to raise funds for courthouse restoration, planting a liberty tree, and a possible colonial fair; the Planning Commission’s March meeting was canceled. Town Clerk reported fund balances (General $170,948.64; WS $16,415.25; ARPA $374,281.95) and the board approved February 25 minutes (one abstention on the closed session); infrastructure work on I&I is ongoing and Water Tank documents were sent to USDA. Permeability up to ll-12. Operator will run belt press when he has room. Then can de-cant and start using polymer that MMBR sent. o PW Foreman Bryan Miller will make list of equipment town needs and prioritize. Feels tractor replacement is most important at this time. PLANNING COMMISSION o March meeting cancelled due to lack of business. Next meeting scheduled for April 1. FINANCE COMMITTEE (no updates) CODE ENFORCEMENT/HARBORMASTER o Citations issued for untagged vehicle violations. Notice letters for other violations sent out. EVENTS COMMITTEE o Easter Egg Hunt scheduled at the park for March 28 at llam. . 250th Celebration - working on the following: . Reading of Dec. of Independence on July 8. Possible Town Crier to do reading. Possibly food trucks, music, etc. . May 9 - garden party at Bowlingly Sponsorship by Bank and Golf Course. Water/Sewer Rate Study Rauch will provide models showing Wheatland's only rate and rate suggested for town as currently stands. Should have ready by next meeting. 3. ORDTNANCE NO. 25-06 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF QUEENSTOWN TO AMEND ARTICLE VII, SECTION 77 OF THE QUEENSTOWN ZONING ORDINANCE TITLED SOLAR ENERGY EQUIPMENT TO COMPLY WITH THE BRIGHTER TOMORROW ACT (Eligible for adoption) Plan to vote on proposed ordinance at next meeting. DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS 1. Wheatland's Project Waterman/RAH suggested meeting to discuss developing an agreement with the town. Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan suggested they draft a document for what they are proposing to do and submit to the Town for consideration. Waiting for a response. NEW BUSINESS (no updates) ATTORNEY UPDATES (no updates) PUBLIC COMMENT o Di Quynn-Reno - Resident Asked what the Colonial Fair was discussed earlier? Ms. Moore clarified it is a vendor's fair with colonial themed food and period clothing. o Matt Ball - Resident Expressed appreciation for the fire company instituting siren quiet hours. Asked if possible to lower the decibel of the siren for other hours or moving the sirens to higher angle to reduce sound towards his house. Comm. Callahan explained due to the design of the siren it is not possible to adjust the angle or reduce the decibel of the siren.
