On May 23, 2019 the Commissioners of Queenstown convened a special meeting.
President Willis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Office. Persons present
were President Thomas B. Willis, Jr., Commissioner Alton Hardee, Commissioner Holger
Schuster, Finance Chair Patricia Bowell and Town Manager/Clerk Amy Moore.
Amy Moore and Pat Bowell presented the final drafts of the FY2020 General Fund and
Water/Sewer budgets. Tax rate reflects the Constant Yield rate established by the State, and the
water and sewer rates reflect a 5Yo increase.
Commissioners set a special meeting for May 29, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. where they will
introduce ordinances to adopt the tax rate, water/sewer rate increase, and the general and
water/sewer fund budgets. Should those ordinances be introduced, a public hearing on both
ordinances will be held on Jvne 12,2019 at 6:00 p.m.
There being no further matters to consider, President Willis made a motion to adjoum the
meeting at 6:44 pm, which was seconded by Commissioner Hardee, which was unanimously
carried.
