ADOPTING A GENR.AL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1,2018
AND ENDING JUISJE 30, 2019, AND ESTABLISHING A TAX RATE OF .1726 PER $100 OF
ASSESSED REAL PROPERTY VALUE AND A TAX RATE OF .44 PER $100 ON ALL
COMMERCIAL OR BUSINESS PERSONAL PROPERTY AND PUBLIC UTILITIES; AND
ALSO ADOPTING AN ENTERPRISE BUDGET FOR THE TOWN’S WATER AND SEWER
OPERATIONS

There being no comments or discussion, President Willis motioned to close the Public Hearing at
6:37 p.m.
President Willis motioned to introduce Ordinance 18-03 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN

OF QUEENSTOWN TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF A STRIP OF LAND OWNED
BY SHORE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP IN ORDER TO RECONFIGURE THE PROPERTY
LINE BETWEEN THE TOWN’S PROPERTY LOCATED ON OLD WHARF LANE AND
THE ADJACENT PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7401 MAIN STREET, AND TO AUTHORIZE
THE PRES1DENT OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF QUEENSTOWN TO EXECUTE SUCH
DEEDS AND PLATS AS ARE NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROPERTY LINE
REVISION. A public hearing will be held on June 27, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Motion seconded by
Commissioner Schuster. Vote: 3-aye,0-nay
President Willis motioned to enter into Closed Session at 6:40 p.m. for the purpose ofdiscussing
personnel matters for individual qualifications for employee positions. Motion seconded by
Commissioner Hardee. Vote: 3-aye 0-nay
President Willis motioned to adjourn Closed Session at 6:56 p.m. and resume regular meeting.
Motion seconded by Commissioner Schuster. Vote 3-aye, 0-nay
President Willis motioned to hire Jay Johnson as a public works seasonal employee for up to 18
hours aweek. The seasonal position shall be from April 1 October 1 each year. Motion
