Buf feryerd Specilic rtio n s Thc following illustnations graphically indicate the specifications of eacb bufferyard" Bufrayard require'ments are stated in t€rms of the width of tbe buffiaryard and the nnmbcr of plant units required per one hundred (100) linear feet of bufferyard Therecommeadod bufferyard should be one of the options illustrated The "plant rmit multiplieC is a factor by which the basic number of plant materials required

for a given bufferyard is det€rmined given a change in the width of that yard- The type and quantity of plaot materials required by each bufferyard, and each bumeryard option, are specified in this section.

Alternative planting requirements apply to Buffer planting in the Critical Area.

Afforestation and reforestation plantings rcquird undcr the Forest Consenration requirments contained in the Zoning Code may occur in buffieryards provided such plantings meet the minimrrm requirernents for afforestation or refmestation.

The options within any bufferyard are designed to be equivalent in terms of their effeaiveness in eliminating the impact of adjoining uses. Cost equivaleocc betwecn ogions was atte, npted where possible. Generally, the plant materials which are idattified as acccptable are &tcrmincd by the qrpds) of soil Prese'nt on the site. Each illnsUation depicts the total buffcD,ard located befweco two uses.

Wlenevsr a wall, fence, or berm is requirod within a bufferyard, these are shown as "stucture required,' in the following illustrations, wberein tbeir respective specifications are also shonm. All required structures shall be the responsibility ofthe higher intensity use.
