DUDLEY, PETER I. DUDLEY AND CLAY D. EVANS, TAX MAP 51H,
GRID 21, PARCEL 40 FIFTH ELECTION DISTRICT, QUEEN ANNE'S
COUNTY, MARYLAND FOR THE PLACEMENT OF A WATER TOWER
TO SERVICE TIIE RESIDENTS OF THE TOWN OF QUEENSTOWI\I AND
TO AUTHORIZE THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF
QUEENSTOWI\ TO EXECUTE SUCH DEEDS AND PLATS AS ARE
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE SALE
WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Queenstown are authorizedbythe Maryland Code
Annotated, Local Government Article, $ 5-204 and Section 19-75 of the Town Charter to acquire
real property needed for public purpose; and
WHEREAS, F. Wick Dudley, Peter I. Dudley, and Clay D. Evans, WHaClay S. Dudley,
are the owners of certain real property located at Del Rhodes Avenue, Queenstown, Queen Anneis
County, Maryland, Parcel 40 on Queen Anne's County Tax Map 51H, and which is more
particularly described in a deed to F. Wick Dudley, Peter I. Dudley, and Frank S. Dudley, Jr.,
Custodian for Clay S. Dudley, dated February 5,1974, and recorded in the land records for
Queen
Anne's County at Liber 0110, Folio 119 (the ..property"); ana
WHEREAS, the Town desires to construct a water tower to service the residents of the
Town of Queenstown and the Town Engineer has determined that the Property is a desirable
location for the water tower: and
WHEREAS, in order to construct a new water tower, the Commissioners of
Queenstown
have determined that it is desirable and in the public interest to purchase the property in
consideration of the payment of $75,000 and other consideration, conditions and requirements as
set forth in the Agreement between the parties, which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and
incorporated by reference herein.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF
QUEENSTOWN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Commissioners hereby approve the attached Agreonent for the purchase of
approximately 0.67 acres located on Del Rhodes Avenue, Queenstown, Maryland, Qulen Anne's
County, Map 51H Parcel 40, from F. Wick Dudley, Peter I. Dudley, and Clay D. Evans, for the
purchase price of $75,000, together with additional conditions and requirements as set forth in the
attached Agreement.

Section The President ofthe Town Commissioners of Queenstown is hereby authorized
to execute the attached Agreement, as well as a plat depicting the new boundary line consistent
with the Agreement, and any deeds or documents as are necessary to effecfuate the purchase of the
Property as reflected on the attached the plat titled "PRoPosED SUBDIVISION oN THE
LANDS OF F. WICK DUDLEY, ET AL. TAX MAP 51H, GRID 21, PARCEL 40 FIFTH
ELECTION DISTRICT, QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY", prqrared by Rauch Engineering, dated
January,2020,
