The Queenstown Planning Commission met on October 5, 2016; the meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm by Hogie Schuster with members Phil Snyder and Al Hardee present. The commission approved drawings and parking plans for Brian Weese’s proposed offices and showroom at the former gas station at 500 Del Rhodes Ave and asked him to return with a signage plan. They granted George Law permission to operate a home business selling plumbing fixtures and directed Amy to send a confirmation letter; the commission also approved a growth allocation proposal (motion by Al Hardee, seconded by Phil Snyder), approved the town’s new Critical Area maps (motion by Phil Snyder, seconded by Al Hardee), and approved the previous meeting minutes.

Town of Queenstown Maryland Planning Commission Minutes october stn 201.6 The meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm by Hogie Schuster. Commission members present were Phil Snyder, Al Hardee and Hogie Schuster. The meeting opened with public comment, and no one spoke. The next order of business was Roger and Brian Weese. Brian Weese owns a remodeling company and is in the process of buying the old gas station at 500 Del Rhodes Ave. Mr. Weese would like to put his offices and showroom in that building, and brought drawings and parking plans along with him. All commission members approved the drawings and parking plans, and ask him to come back with his signage plan. Mr. George Law came asking for an approval to operate a home business from his residence selling plumbing fixtures. All members were in agreement that his business was within the guidelines of a home business, and granted him approval. Mr. Law asked for a letter from the town confirming this. Amy will send him one. Commissioners Update - Commissioner Bowell updated us on many projects going on around town. Waterman - The Commission reviewed the proposal for growth allocation. All members were in agreement and Phil Snyder made a motion to accept. Al Hardee made the motion to approve the growth allocation per the planning commission and to forward to the town Commissioners for their review. phil Snyder seconded. Critical Area Maps- The towns new critical area maps where reviewed and Phil Snyder made a motion to approve with Al Hardee seconding. The minutes of the last meeting where approved.
