The Queenstown Planning Commission met July 5, 2017. Members present and several guests attended; there were no guest speakers. The Commission unanimously approved and referred to the Town Commissioners the "Recommended Amendments To Queenstown zoning code Medical-Cannabis" (dated July 5, 201?) after a June 20 workshop and presentation by the Town Planner; the chairman distributed an MMCC dispensary-licensing application document for commissioners to read. The Town budget was reported as passed, the annual report was prepared and signed, and there were no updates on pending requests and permits. Commissioners reported a meeting with Lex Birney and John Andres about owners’ plans for "Queenstown H"rUoirnay," including that the first phase of rental-cottage construction has begun, the proposed events center is tabled, and Mr. Birney said he would consider only a small “tiki”‑type bar near the boathouse (which would require growth allocation and rezoning); no formal action was taken.

Town of Queenstown lanning Commission Minutes JulY 5, 2017 A regular meeting of the Queenstown Planning Commission was held on July 5,2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Office. Present were Planning Commission members, Willie Comegys, Al Hardee, Phil Snyder, and Betty White. Guests present were Peter Johnston, Town Planner, Hogie schuster, Town commissioner, Mike and Pat Bowell .and John and Eugenie Fitzgerald. Al Hardee, Chairman, brought the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Guests' Time: no guest speakers. NEW BUSINESS 1. Town Commissioners Updates -: Mr' Schuster reported that the Town Budget had been Passed. No other news OLD BUSINESS 1.. Medical Cannabis Discussion: Al Hardee reported that the Planning Commission held a workshop on June 20, 2017 to discuss this matter' Mr. Johnston presented the Planning Commission'srecommendationsbasedontheworkshop'Afterreviewanddiscussionitwas moved by Phil Snyder, seconded by Al Hardee, ThattheRecommendedAmendmentsToQueenstownzoningcodeMedical- Cannabis dated July 5, 201?, be approved and referred to the Town Commissioners for final approval. This motion was carried unanimously Mr. Hardee distributed to the Planning Commissioners Maryland Medical Cannabis Commisiion (MMCC) Application for Medicai Cannabis Dispensary License ' Publication Release Date: septembei 28,2015; Revised october7,2015. He asked thatthe commissioners read the document prior to the next meetlng 2. Pending Requests and Permits -no updates 3..
