Minutes of the Queenstown Planning Commission meeting on December 9, 2020. The commission approved Peter Wierenga’s request to operate a strictly online gun-sales business from his home as a Type I Home Occupation (motion by Matt Reno, second Paul Cain; all in favor). Town Manager Amy Moore reported the December commissioners meeting was rescheduled to 12/16/20; Critical Area Circuit Rider Michael Grassmann notified the town that its ordinance is due for an update and information was forwarded to Town Planner Peter Johnston, who suggested asking Grassmann to review any proposed text amendments; and commissioners adopted an ordinance to purchase approximately 0.67 acres of the Dudley property on Del Rhodes Ave across Rt. 301 for a new water tower. Old business noted: no updates on the Trails Master Plan or Sorenson; the Community Parks & Playground Program Grant likely in spring 2021; Wheatlands is pending formal submission of design guidelines and a public hearing for the Master Development Plan; boat landing and parking improvements have signs ordered and the commission will hold a public hearing on an ordinance to require permits and set parking/use rules, with a proposed fee resolution of $15 for in-town and $50 for out-of-town parking; and a planning commission vacancy with a letter of interest from Suzie Cusimano. The commission approved the November 4, 2020 minutes (motion by Matt Reno, second Mike Bowell) and adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
