Minutes of the Queenstown Planning Commission meeting on December 9, 2020. The commission approved Peter Wierenga’s request to operate a strictly online gun-sales business from his home as a Type I Home Occupation (motion by Matt Reno, second Paul Cain; all in favor). Town Manager Amy Moore reported the December commissioners meeting was rescheduled to 12/16/20; Critical Area Circuit Rider Michael Grassmann notified the town that its ordinance is due for an update and information was forwarded to Town Planner Peter Johnston, who suggested asking Grassmann to review any proposed text amendments; and commissioners adopted an ordinance to purchase approximately 0.67 acres of the Dudley property on Del Rhodes Ave across Rt. 301 for a new water tower. Old business noted: no updates on the Trails Master Plan or Sorenson; the Community Parks & Playground Program Grant likely in spring 2021; Wheatlands is pending formal submission of design guidelines and a public hearing for the Master Development Plan; boat landing and parking improvements have signs ordered and the commission will hold a public hearing on an ordinance to require permits and set parking/use rules, with a proposed fee resolution of $15 for in-town and $50 for out-of-town parking; and a planning commission vacancy with a letter of interest from Suzie Cusimano. The commission approved the November 4, 2020 minutes (motion by Matt Reno, second Mike Bowell) and adjourned at 8:03 p.m.

Queenstown Planning Commission Minutes December 9,2020 Present: Phil Snyder, Chairman, Matt Reno Vice-Chair, Mike Bowell, Paul Cain, Peter Johnston, Town Planner; and Amy Moore Town Manager. Meeting called to order by Chairman Snyder at 7:00 p.m. Guest: Peter Wierenga - 219 Steamboat Ave Mr. Wierenga was present to request permission to operate an online gun sales business from his home. The sales would be strictly online. He is filing the required federal and state applications. Based on the information Mr. Wierenga supplied, he meets the requirements for a Type I Home Occupation. Motion made by Matt Reno to approve Mr. Wierenga's request. Second Paul Cain. All in favor Public Comment - None Town Manager Updates - o December Commissioners meeting rescheduledto 12116120 o Critical Area Circuit Rider Michael Grassmann contacted Ms. Moore and informed town's ordinance is due for an update. Information provided to Ms. Moore was forwarded to Peter Johnston. Mr. Johnston isn't aware of any provisions currently out of date with the CAC regulations. Suggests that when other text amendments are considered, we ask Mr. Grassmann to review and provide comment. o Commissioners adopted ordinance for purchase of approximately .67 acres of Dudley property on Del Rhodes Ave across Rt. 301.
