7:24P.M. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER (technical difficulties) PRESENT: Phil Snyder, Matt Reno, Paul Cai!, Geneva Rieu, Amy Moore, and Peter Johnston GUESTS - None PUBLIC COMMENT- none
TOWN MANAGER UPDATES:
o Matt reappointed to 5-year term for Planning Commission o Test well for water tower to be completed early September .
5684,755.34- American plan recovery funds, have received, rest will come 2022,looking for storm water projects for funds; will locate top l0 worse spots for I&I o Channel dredging: Army Corps/DNR done surveys, channel is filling, DNR reported that nearby shorelines could be candidates for receiving dredging to protect shorelines;
ba:riers: cost, private vs public shoreline; town should submit grant for project for 100% funding to get the engineering completed; holding meeting to plan and discuss funding r September commissioner meetings: 917,9122 o September concert added 9/18; church sold hot dogs and sodas at last concert, proceeds to benefit fire dept
OLD BUSINESS:
Trails Master Plan: Commissioner's adopted final draft via resolution at last meeting Wheatland's - Waterman Family Limited Partnership: Forest Conservation plan is ready for review and approval; PJ reported these reports must be reviewed by forestry on state level, no planning commission review necessary.
Boat landing and parking area improvements: construction permit being held to see if the boat ramp arrangement could be changed, to mitigate- 60 sq ft of shoreline or spray, concrete panels ordered; pier repairs, was going to be broken down into 2 phases, only 1 bid, company coming to present different product to commissioner's; 2 curb spots left to paint.
Fence standards: amendments made per discussion at last planning meeting; commissioner's plan to review and vote at next meeting.
Community Parks and Playground Program Grant Funding FY2023: phase 1 submitted; MDOT has trails grant that opens in April, plan on applying; finance committee will also research funding for trails.
Boat and Trailer parking standards (8-17-21draft version) Phil Snyder motioned for approval, Matt Reno second, no oppose.
NEW BUSINESS
Parking Issues - Thompson Avenue: several calls from Lacrosse home about speeding and parking; commissioner's requesting review from planning commission; new speed limit signs orOered; notice to HOA/Lacrosse Homes regarding their obligation to enforce parking and speed limits of their tenants.
Minutes - August 4,2021: Phil Snyder motion to accept as submitted, Paul Cain second; no oppose Building on Dudley: (Anthony's) taller than home, question about approval and the height;
suggested that inspector go to home to check height of building.
Discussion of slips and boats: person on lease vs boat in the slip; Paul Cain requested to see records
