Queenstown Planning Commission June7,2023 PRESENT: Members Matt Reno, Paul Cain, Mike Bowell, and Geneva Thrasher-Rieu; Peter Johnston, Town Planner, and Amy Moore, Town Manager.

Vice-Chairman Matt Reno called the meeting to order at 7 :02 prn

GUESTS:

lftadijiah Robain4 Tip top Tots Early Leaming Center - looking to open a childcare leaming center in the old Tidewater building, each child requires 35 sq ft of space; requires white picket fence for security.

Matt Reno motioned to recommend that the board of appeals approve a special exception and allow flexibility on sq ft per child and lot area per child. Second by paul Cain. No oppose.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None

TOWN MANAGER UPDAIES:

r SHA doing improvements, crosswalk painting, 2 electronic speed signs for both ends of Main St., adding additional speed bumps, 2 new on MD Ave, I new on Steamboat, replace temp speed bump, and add stop signs.

o Commissioners awarded the engineering work for federal channel dredging to Bayland Consultants and Designers in Hanover, MD for $34,000.

r Breezeline and Comcast franchise agreements are still being rwised. Possibly have some Comcast services by fall, intemet, cable

OLD BUSINESS:

o Wheatland's: still discussing DRRA, public works agreement o Queenstown Corridor Management: work in progress
