Queenstown Planning Commission May 312023 Present: Matt Reno, Mike Bowell, Peter Johnston (Planner), Amy Moore (Town Manager), ffid Geneva Thrasher-Rieu. Paul Cain attended virtually.
No public comment Town Manager Updates:
o ARPA funds- water main replacement: Wall St, sewer line: Old Wharf Lane ($685k received) .
Commissioners established St safety task force, 5 members, develop ideas/solutions to resolve speeding, first meeting 513 at 5 pm Sheriffallocated funding for overtime policing, three 4 hr shifts a week, task force will submit timelines; discussion of increased traffic on 301 and role in new task force.
o Budget- discussed Planner projected costs for new budget year o Town Code for Parking: discussed parking of trailers, oversized vehicles, may be in zoningbut didn't make it to ordnance. Ms. Moore will look into it.
Old Business:
o Wheatland's: still working on DRRA, halting water/sewer till residential developed due to Royal Farms pulling out.
o Corridor Management Plan: discussion of goal; Peter will look for an example of completed plan New Business:
o Permit Review- Mike Bowell motioned to accept, Matt Reno second, no oppose, motion passed.
o Matt Reno motioned, subject to complying with the condition of Blue Heron Rookery that the PC finds that Queenstown Golf Course is consistent with QA CA Programs, Paul second, no oppose, motion passed o Annual Report: Matt Reno motioned to accept the annual report, request it be forwarded to the MD Dept of Planning, Paul seconded, no opposeo motion passed.
o April minutes: Paul Cain motioned to approve minutes from April, Mike Bowell seconded, no oppose.
