Queenstown Planning Commission Apil5,2023 Attendance: Mike Bowell, Matt Reno and Peter Johnston, Town Planner attended in person.
Geneva Thrasher-Rieu, Paul Cain, andAmy Moore, Town Manager, attended virtually.
Meeting called to order at7 pmby Matt Reno Guests:
Cory Walters: clarification on town ordinances; plans to purchase part of neighbor's properly to build pole barn, principal vs accessory building, 2400 sq ft pole building, discussion on size of building vs principle building.
Public Comment: none Town Manager Updates:
-Exploring additional funding sources, including Resiliency Through Restoration grant for future phases of channel dredging project, first phase is looking at three locations to determine best candidates for spoils, County filed for federal funding on behalf of Town, Golf Course and Blakeford approve study;
-Commissioner's meeting- SHA, engineers of traffrc, to discuss concerns of speeding in town -Commissioner's reviewing options for resurfacing dock areas -FY24 budget -Congrats to Matt for winning egg tapping contest Old Business -Wheatland's: Royal Farms no longer interested in participating in phase I due to sewage line costs -Corridor Management Plan: MD Bike/Pedestrian 2050 plan, Matt will reach out to explore
integrating trails master plan; Mike will reach out to country to integrate into Corridor Management planning;
-646Del Rhodes: Cory Walters was present earlier in meeting.
New Business -March Meeting Minutes: no oppose, approved -ZoningApplicationApproval Process: Matt Reno suggested making the process more transparent and less frustrating, perhaps provide checklist for applicants and provide location of ordinances, depending on application, forms required; Peter Johnston advised that there is a checklist, and Amy Moore advised that when an applicant contacts the offrce, they are informed
of what documentation is required.
