These are the Queenstown Planning Commission minutes from March 6, 2024. Commissioners and staff heard two guest inquiries: Cory Walters about a driveway/ pole-building project behind his house (town will approve pending scaled drawings and final plat revision) and Peter Dey about installing a dog-containment fence (town will provide regulations and an application). Town Manager Amy Moore reported on MDOT and trail grant opportunities, a potential sidewalk extension to the golf course discussed with the HOA, an April 9 meeting with QAC Economic Development, Comcast box replacements, a funded lead water service inventory, and USDA approval of plans for a water storage tank pending final easements. In old business, the Wheatlands project had a pre-construction meeting on 3/6 to discuss removal of fees, the Commission voted 4-1 to disagree that Haven Ministries’ proposed day center is an accessory use and then unanimously recommended the town amend the ordinance to allow it as a special exception, there was no update on the Corridor Management Plan, and the Commission approved a motion to request amendments to statutes related to recreational cannabis enterprises. The February 7, 2024 minutes were accepted and the meeting was adjourned at 8:46 pm.

Amy Moore attended MDOT grants workshop, several grants available for trails, discretionary grants (3: safe streets for all, reconnecting communities and neighborhoods, active transportation infrastructure program); recreational trails program (80120 grant), Kim Lamphere Trails Program 2.
