The September 2, 2020 Planning Commission meeting recorded the Anthony request to combine 116 and 120 Dudley Avenue into one lot so proposed buildings would sit on a single parcel; the Commission raised no objections and the Anthonys will return with a survey/plat and building plans. Plans for a shed at 7204 Maryland Avenue were reviewed and approved by vote (3-0). The Trails Master Plan draft was discussed (posted online with no public comments), including a potential easement/land-swap idea from Susan Mayberry and a proposed next step to solicit input from Queen Anne’s County and the State. Town Manager updates covered numerous items: an adopted ordinance raising water/sewer connection fees, letters to residents about lateral repairs with interest-free payment assistance, a dredging application receiving a favorable MDE recommendation, grant applications (Community Parks & Playgrounds for a boardwalk and a DNR shoreline debris removal grant), boat landing parking improvements and signage/towing considerations, the Sorenson project under construction awaiting inspection, and personnel/timing notes about Commissioner Hogie Schuster’s move and the upcoming nomination/election schedule for Town Commissioners. Minutes from August 5 were approved and the meeting was adjourned.
