The Planning Commission met January 5, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.; members elected Phil Snyder as Chair, Matt Reno as Vice-Chair, and Geneva Rieu as Secretary. Town Manager updates reported a Critical Area Commission meeting on January 15 to adopt an ordinance, dredging of slips beginning the week of January 17, exploration of solar for the wastewater plant, adoption of fence standards in December, an office move, and a forthcoming front-office clerk posting. The commission approved a variance for Wheatland's (Waterman Family Limited Partnership) and instructed Peter to notify DNR, discussed boat landing and parking area improvements, removed fence standards from the agenda, and noted the Community Parks and Playground grant update will wait until spring. New business included considering community input and Planning Commission assistance for water tower branding, and requests for suggested revisions to the commercial/oversized vehicle parking ordinance after complaints about a commercial tow trailer under the current 12-hour rule; the December 1, 2021 minutes were approved and the meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
