The Planning Commission met October 3, 2018; present were Philip Snyder (Chair), Perry Stutman, Betty White, Loretta Hohmann (Secretary), and Town Planner Peter Johnston, with Vice Chair Man Reno absent. Town of Queenstown Planning Commission Minutes October 3, 2018 A regularly scheduled meeting ofthe Queenstown Planning Commission was held Wednesday evening October 3, 2018. Present were Philip Snyder- Chair, Perry Stutman, Betty White, Loretta Hohmann, Secretary, Town Planner Peter Johnston Absent and excused was, Man Reno- Vice Chair. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Accordingly, Phil Snyder brought the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. The following documents were distributed to all members ofthe Planning Commission that were in attendance • Agenda • Town Manager Updates • The Likely Implications of an Improved US 301 in Queen Anne’s County GUESTS No guests in attendance TOWN MANAGER UPDATE Town Manager, Amy Moore was absent. In her absence a two page Town Manager Update was provided. OLD BUSINESS: Zoning Ordinance Town Attorney has not yet completed the review ofthe Town Ordinance for — zoning. NEW BUSINESS 1. Minutes September 5, 2018— Motion to approve the minutes from September 5, 2018 — by Ms. Betty White were approved unanimously. 2. Study Likely Implications of an Improved US 301 in Queen Anne’s County — A lengthy discussion was held to discuss The Likely Implications of an Improved US 301 in Queen Anne’s County study that was submitted by Sage Policy Group, Inc. to the Queen Anne’s County Economic Development Commission — September 2018. The discussion included the following topics: • Toll road on 301 in Delaware, flexible work space, telecommuting, Potential for warehousing distribution facilities and implications for — Wheatlands property. • Mr. Peter Johnson mentioned the importance for Town Planning Commission to be careful ifwarehouse building on Wheatlands property should be considered. Will a warehouse provide I generate enough revenue to pay for the replacement of infrastructure when it becomes necessary., A question to keep in mind is will the revenue be there or the value from what gets built and will it have financial stability? 3. Greenspring Road Queen Anne’s County Commissioners asked ifthe town has any — comment for the proposal to combine 4 lots into one lot on the Callaghan property on Greenspring Rd. After reviewing the plans that Queen Anne County provided to the Town of Queenstown, we have no comment to County Commissioners.
